The Fisherman's Arms

The country pub, hidden in the middle

of Britain's Ocean City

From the Barbican: at the end of the main street you will pass the Admiral McBride on your right.  Just after the pub there are steps up on the right hand side (to the Astor Gardens). At the top of the steps, you need to bear right and then follow the broad cobbled path, it leads directly to the steps in front of The Fisherman’s Arms.  There is also a nippy back route which goes down beside the Barbican theatre – ask the staff to direct you when you visit!

From the Hoe (Holiday Inn direction) Citadel Road.  Follow Citadel Road towards and past the Citadel entrance onto Lambhay Hill.  Lambhay Street is just on the left before the road drops down.  The Fisherman’s Arms is just at the bottom of Lamhay Street (very short road).

From the Lambhay car park, we are just a brief walk.  Exit from the top of the car park, straight across the road onto a broad cobbled walkway, it bears around to the left (past the Astor gardens) and then the Fisherman’s Arms is at the top of 3 steps directly on your right as you pass under a building.

Disabled Access

There are yellow lines directly outside the pub, besides that, there is residents parking only, you can only approach the pub in a vehicle from Lambhay Street (the pub is at the bottom with a turning circle)
